Bausch & Lomb, Inc. began in 1853 in Rochester, New York as a small optical shop that grew to become a multi-billion dollar corporation with approximately 13,000 employees worldwide, and with products available in more than 100 countries.

In 1987, Bausch & Lomb purchased Pharmafair, a small pharmaceutical company in Hauppauge, New York. In 1990, the construction of the almost 200,000 square foot Tampa facility was completed and we received FDA approval for manufacture in 1993. The Tampa facility is one of the largest in the US capable of producing multiple product formulations.
